The mission of the Family Crisis Shelter is to provide safe shelter, advocacy, counseling, referrals, and support to all victims of domestic violence and sexual assault.
We believe that all people have a right to live in an environment free of all violence. We believe that we have a duty to inform and educate the community about domestic violence, sexual assault and the ramifications of that violence. Our main mission is to empower the victims of the past and prevent the victims of the future. Learn more and get involved.

Walk a Mile in Her Shoes is a community event raising awareness and funds for survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault. The walk will take place on April 11 at 12:30 p.m. during our Rec Show (April 10–12), with participants walking one mile around the Ag Expo. All proceeds benefit the McKenzie County Family Crisis Shelter, helping provide safety, resources, and support for those in need. Whether you’re walking in heels or sneakers, every step makes a difference. Join us for a mile that matters.
